Group Therapy

Heal in the presence of others

An integrative group therapy experience at Twashtri. Using psychodrama, movement, and the power of shared witness: for those ready to meet themselves fully.

Group Therapy

Psychodrama • Integrative • Group work

Group therapy offers something individual therapy cannot: the lived experience of being truly seen and heard by peers who are on their own journeys. In the presence of others, patterns become visible, defences soften, and something new becomes possible.

At Twashtri, our group draws on integrative psychology and psychodrama: a modality that brings inner worlds into action through structured enactment, role exploration, and creative expression. This is a heterogeneous, semi-closed group, where we bring together people from diverse life experiences and hold the space with care and consistency. New members may join at the facilitator’s discretion, ensuring the group’s therapeutic container remains safe.

“In group, you do not just speak of your story: you enact it, witness others’, and discover that you are never alone in what you carry.”

Your Facilitator

Held by an experienced guide

Ashwin Joseph

Primary Facilitator · Group Therapy · Twashtri Center

Ashwin brings an integrative lens to his facilitation, drawing on psychodrama, modern psychological frameworks, and a deep understanding of how people heal in relational contexts. He creates a space where challenge and safety coexist — where the group can move into difficult territory without losing its ground.

As a therapist at Twashtri, Ashwin works from the grounding that the group itself becomes the instrument of healing. His facilitation supports each member to find their voice, take up space, and witness others doing the same.

Who This Is For

This group is for you if any of this resonates

You feel stuck in patterns

Repeating dynamics in relationships, work, or within yourself — and you're ready to look at them in a new way

You want depth with others

You're curious about what becomes possible when you heal not just in private, but in the presence of a trusted group.

You're in individual therapy

Group therapy can deepen and complement your individual work — many participants attend both simultaneously

You're curious about yourself

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit. Genuine curiosity about who you are in relation to others is enough.

You want to feel less alone

Something about your inner life feels too heavy to carry alone. This group offers genuine witness — not just advice.

You're drawn to action-based work

Talking isn't always enough. You're ready to explore through movement, expression, and embodied enactment.

Why this pricing model?

Group therapy works best when members show up with consistency. The 5-session advance payment isn’t just administrative — it creates a psychological container that helps the group deepen. You can always begin with one session to be sure.

Questions

Before you reach out

Do I need to be in individual therapy to join?

No — individual therapy is not a prerequisite. However, we do have a brief intake conversation with Ashwin before you join, to ensure this group is a good fit for where you are right now.

What does "heterogeneous group" mean?

Unlike specialised groups (e.g. only for grief, or only for a particular diagnosis), this group brings together people from diverse walks of life and with different concerns. This diversity is intentional — it mirrors real-world relationships and creates richer conditions for learning and growth.

Is what I share confidential?

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of group therapy. All members agree to hold what is shared within the group. As with all therapy, professional ethics and legal requirements are maintained by the facilitator.

What if I'm nervous or introverted?

This is very common — and it’s something the group itself can work with. You will never be forced to share or participate in ways that feel unsafe. The warm-up is designed precisely to help everyone arrive at their own pace. Many participants who arrive nervous find group therapy profoundly transformative.

Can I join after the group has started?

This is a semi-closed group, meaning new members can be added with the facilitator’s discretion. If you’re interested in joining after June 3, reach out and we’ll discuss whether it’s the right time to integrate you into the cohort.

What is the cancellation policy for group sessions?

Because the group’s integrity depends on consistent attendance, we encourage full participation in your committed sessions. For specific refund and cancellation terms, please speak directly with our team at the time of registration. Sessions in the 5-session pack are generally non-refundable, consistent with Twashtri’s standard policy for session packages.
