Know Your Therapist

Leandra George

Counselling Psychologist

I see therapy as a space where one can finally arrive, like a homecoming to themselves. It is a space, where one is held as they are, wherever they are in their inner journey. So often, people come carrying things they have held quietly for a long time, like emotions that feel difficult to name, make sense of, or speak aloud. What I offer is a space steady enough for those inner experiences to slowly surface and be met with care, honesty, and genuine compassion.

There is gentleness in the way I work, and also depth. I value a process where reflection, curiosity, and meaningful self-understanding can emerge naturally, at a pace that feels right for you. At the root of it all, my aspiration is that therapy can become a space where you feel increasingly connected to yourself, your truth, and the life you wish to move toward.

My Approach

My approach is integrative and deeply rooted in the needs of the client. I draw from a range of contemporary psychological frameworks while remaining rooted in Indian knowledge systems that understand healing through a holistic and consciousness-oriented lens. These are traditions that attend as much to who a person is becoming as to what they are presently experiencing. Alongside present concerns, I value exploring the deeper emotional patterns, formative experiences, and internal narratives that quietly shape how we relate to ourselves and to the world around us.

I understand healing as something far wider than the resolution of symptoms. It is often a gradual process of becoming more aware, more attuned, and more compassionate toward oneself. My work weaves reflective exploration with practical grounding so that therapy feels both meaningful and liveable. I hold space for each person’s pace, their agency, and the particular texture of their inner world. The therapeutic process, when it unfolds, is as unique as the person experiencing it.

My Specializations

I work with adults across different stages of life. Many are navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, stress, concerns around self-worth, relational difficulties, or periods of transition that can quietly unsettle one’s sense of self. I also work extensively with couples and individuals facing relational concerns, and I find this work especially meaningful in what it asks of everyone present.

Many of those I work with are deeply reflective individuals who carry rich inner worlds that can sometimes feel isolating, hard to articulate, or simply too much to hold alone. I am particularly drawn to people seeking a deeper and enduring understanding of themselves, their tendencies, relationships, and the emotional experiences that have shaped them. When the space is safe enough, vulnerability and growth tend to find each other and creating that space is at the heart of everything I do.
